ABOUT SÓLAR

For many years, Sólar has specialized in comprehensive cleaning for companies and institutions in the capital area, Reykjanes, Selfoss, Akranes, Borgarnes, Akureyri, Ísafjörður and Vestmannaeyjar.

We are one of the largest cleaning companies in the country, with around 450 great employees working with us. From the beginning, the company‘s core principal has been a staff policy based on positive feedback, respect, and a good working atmosphere.

Respect for the environment is an integral part of our business policy and focus. We are a dynamic company that sees itself as a responsible participant in the cycle of life. That‘s why we use cleaning materials that are certified by the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and as little plastic (bags, etc.) as possible.

An important part of our service is follow-up but we are proud of our great service department that ensures that the quality of cleaning and other services is always at its best. Our service managers are in good communication with our customers and always available.

Our employees receive good training and intensive quality control ensures maximum results.

Sólar has a very active employee association and we strive to be a vibrant, fun, and attentive workplace. The association offers several fun events for members, including spring celebrations, a Christmas buffet and various seasonal events.
